Evotec, UCB Ink Multi-Year Sample Management Pact

Evotec AG has entered a collaboration agreement with UCB to provide global sample management services for an initial period of five years. Financial details were not disclosed. Evotec will manage UCB’s compound collection from its sample management facility in Toulouse, France.

Dr. Mario Polywka, chief operating officer of Evotec, said, “We are delighted to expand our long standing and successful relationship with UCB through this collaboration designed to provide sample management infrastructure, logistics and expertise to support their drug discovery efforts. This collaboration will use the first-class team and best-in-class infrastructure from our Toulouse site which was acquired in April 2015.”

Dr. Neil Weir, senior vice president of Discovery at UCB, said, “With Evotec’s proven track record in compound management coupled with global operations and an outstanding team and facility in Toulouse, we are confident of the quality and scalability of the services our internal and external discovery teams will receive.”
